A quick spin in the dryer every few washes restores the water repellent finish. The more you wear it, handle it and crush it the more weathered it becomes, making each Tilley Waxed Cotton Hat unique to the owner and the adventures taken. Like all Tilley Hats, the TWC5 has a UPF rating of 50+ to protect from the sun, while also being rain repellent to protect from the elements.

Like your footwear, your Tilley hat should be sized properly, then it will fit comfortably. To find your Tilley hat size, use a tape to measure just above the eyebrows, (the widest part of the head) and pull fairly firmly. Then use the measurement to work out your size from the table below (If you already know your hat size, you will be one size larger in a Tilley)
