PRIMUS EtaPower EF has got the American Backpacker Magazines' Editors' Choice 2007!
The Primus Eta is highly efficient stove system complete with wind shield and pans. It utilises the same heat-exchanger principle as the Jetboil and MSR Reactor. However it has a much larger pan, windshield and a remote canister, making the Primus Eta Power even more efficient with only 20% heat loss. It's heavier and bulkier than other gas stoves (but other gas stoves don't come as a complete pan set or wind shields). It's superb fuel efficiency means that less than half the normal amount of fuel need be carried - which can very quickly mean a large saving in the weight and bulk of gas cylinders on multi-day trips (let alone the environmental benefit). The included insulated storage bag, not only to protects the stove in transit, but also acts as a pan-cosy, keeping food warmer for longer after heating, allowing foods to continue to cook after removal from the stove, and saving even more fuel. comes complete with piezo ignition.
